by superstorm sandy. this morning the death toll is still rising. so far at least 70 people are confirmed dead. five million remain without power. but there is some good news. this is new video shot this morning at la guardia airport which is back up and running with limited service. subway service in new york city is also reopening today as well. also with limited service. now, in new jersey, the city of hoboken is a virtual island after 500 million gallons of water flooded the square mile town. officials say it will take at least two days to pump out all that water. the city's mayor says that's not the only thing the city needs to deal with from this disaster. they're picking up the pieces there. >>> in the meantime in greenwich, connecticut, firefighters just released this stunning video showing three mansions burning to the ground as sandy made landfall monday night. everyone that lived inside made it out safely, we're happy to say, but the homes, total loss. in the meantime after waiting out the storm, the candidates back on the campaign trail. we'll have a live report from capitol hill c

and businesses are still without power. two weeks after super storm sandy cat. the long island power authority are dealing with 100,000 people without electricity. that totals 55,000 customers who do not have power even though their grid is back on line but the company says that it is not safe to connect those homes and businesses because there are wiring and equipment was flooded. consolidated edison has more than 3000 customers in new york city without power. 14,000 new jersey residents are still without electricity. residents and government officials are outraged. >> and also details on the latest of the resignation of cia director david the trans. >> as more facts emerge about the circumstances that cost cia director his job so do the questions. >> i have questions about the whole matter. >> like who knew what, when, about the fbi investigation into a complaint that his biographer, paul of /+;a ////pua broadwell send harassing e- mails to a woman. according to a u.s. official it was that probe that relieved an affair between the two of them. director of national intelligence james clapper

aside for families affected by superstorm sandy. so the parade organizers doing what they can to at least give those folks a little bit of happiness here after all the struggle in the past few weeks or so. let's bring it back to the bay area. we have a part of ocean beach closed. crews are cleaning up a sewage discharge that came from a manhole cover yesterday at balboa. the department of public works says the beach has a no swimming advisory as they conduct quality tests on the water. about 90% of the discharge is rainwater. no reports of foul odor. before they reopen the area and we want to make sure they do that. >>> we are learning of a third death dying from eating toxic mushrooms at a senior care facility. the golden age facility. they reported that. the name's of the victims not released after they ate a soup with toxic mushrooms november ea . the person who made the soup picked the mushrooms from their backyard. they didn't know it was poisonous. >>> let's take a break. we have clear skies and sunshine. hopefully, it will warm us up before too much longer. it's cold o

.s. airlines have issued-- >> this is a much smaller storm system compared to sandy. it is already dropping ran along the jersey shoreline and parts of new york. what we are concerned about is that we do have cold air coming with it and it will be freezing rain and snow. there also be high winds and we are concerned about flooding. with this storm system may be new flooding will basically hamper the efforts that they are using to rehabilitate this area. >> let's take a live look at the golden gate bridge. you concede there is a little bit of fog and very light traffic. we are wondering what we are waking up to because we have had a few nice days in a row. we might be getting back to reality. >> two elements and play right now is that we do have cool weather in place. we do have dense fog. if you think this is bad you should check out napa and santa rosa. however, out the door it is 57 degrees and--as we take a look at the visibility chart through 1 01 is just a half mile before napa. some of the fog and cloud cover is filling in the land as well. you should drive with extra caution. good news i
